"Fafnir BC-2 is a very large and abnormally heavy gas giant with magnificent rings. It has three unique moons with stable orbits, all of which have right conditions for life to occur. Fafnir BC-2's abnormality is still a mystery, it appears to have a very large metallic core which is buried in thousands of kilometers of atmosphere, most likely molten completely. It was UEC Phoenix's mission to visit both Jovian planets in Fafnir BC to study them, and to send probes and shuttles into the atmosphere.",

"The UEC Phoenix was crewed by 48 souls. The crew consisted of 12 engineers, 8 scientists specializing in astrophysics and xenobiology. 4 geologists, 9 technicians, 2 pilots, 4 security personnel, 7 miscellaneous crew, Lieutenant J. Pierre and Captain Vyacheslav Dostoevsky. ",

"The UEC Phoenix was originally a combat ship, designated Battleship USS Bulwark. It first entered service in 2040 and was the first heavily shielded ship to see combat, utilizing dilithium to erect forcefields around itself. The USS Bulwark was armed with a spinal mounted railgun, four laser turrets acting as point defense and anti-air, and five triple-barrel turrets, each gun being 18-inches in caliber. ",
		"",
"After the war, and the successful flight of the UEC Starshot, work began on retrofitting the USS Bulwark into a research-and-exploration spacecraft, designed for long range missions into other star systems. Being stripped of heavy weaponry and unnecessary armor, it was christened as the reborn UEC Phoenix. The older reactor and subsystems were upgraded in the rebuilding efforts, with the addition of 2nd generation warp drives, along with larger storage for solid dilithium and fuel for normal space engines. The old shield generators were left as they were, there were newer shield technologies on offer, but the ones belonging to USS Bulwark were unmatched in terms of durability and strength.",
		"",
"On January 6th, 2066, UEC Phoenix departed from Gateway 2 in low orbit and began its 2.85 quadrillion kilometer, month-long journey to Fafnir A. There were large crowds aboard Gateway 2 to witness the startup of the main engines and warp drives. Millions of people on Earth were able to see the UEC Phoenix accelerate into hyperspace, which left aurora-like trails in its wake. During its acceleration, before engaging the warp cores, night was turned into day.",
		"",
"Communications were lost on February 7th, the crew is presumed dead. There were no ships capable of a round trip to Fafnir A for rescue operations. "
