"It has been long theorized, that matter can be converted into energy and beamed long distances, then reconstructed as it was originally. \"Teleportation\" is an extremely taboo subject in the scientific world after the invention of warp drives. Many leading experts have scrutinized research efforts into matter transportation, calling it a waste of resources and paradoxical in nature. Short range matter transportation and reconstruction has proven that the technology works, long range tests are yet to be successful. ",
		"",
"Matter transporters and receivers require surprisingly few internal components, however the exotic nature of their materials and high power demands hold them back from large-scale use. The public is uneasy of the thought of commercial matter transportation, citing the gruesome disaster of the first attempted transmission of a living human across a distance of a few kilometers. The test subject did survive, but begged to be mercy killed the moment he rematerialized from the other end. The testing transmitters used a similar technique as warp drives, folding spacetime around itself to gain access to a parallel dimension, except the transmitters tapped a lower dimension, unlike warp drives that access a higher dimension, aka hyperspace. A popular hypothesis among the public and eccentric scientists claim that the transmitters used threw the test subject into Hell itself, causing dramatic injury and psychological torture. ",
		"",
"Newer models of transmitters access sub-hyperspace instead of a lower dimension to hopefully avoid horrific consequences. "
